Every Saturday and Sunday evening, the riverfront ghats of Patna, especially Gandhi Ghat and Collectorate Ghat, come alive with the spiritual ceremony of Ganga Aarti. Priests dressed in traditional saffron robes perform a rhythmic worship of the Ganges River with large brass lamps.
1. Rhythmic Brass Lamps
The chanting of mantras, the sound of conch shells, and the reflection of thousands of oil lamps floating on the water create a deeply spiritual atmosphere, attracting hundreds of visitors.
2. River Cruises
The tourism department also operates special cruise boats on the Ganges, allowing tourists to watch the Ganga Aarti from the river. We share visitor hours and cruise details.
