Overview

Dhua Kund features twin waterfalls situated on the Kav River in the Kaimur range near Sasaram. The water cascades down 100 feet into a rocky basin, generating a continuous mist (dhua) which gives the waterfalls their name. It is a scenic nature spot popular for eco-trekking, photography, and weekend family picnics.

History & Origins

The waterfalls have been a center of hydroelectric studies and local fairs (Mela) during the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
