Overview

Navlakha Palace is a heritage site situated in Rajnagar near Madhubani. Constructed by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh of Darbhanga in the early 20th century, it was a grand royal palace complex featuring temples, ponds, gardens, and durbar halls. Although heavily damaged in the devastating 1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake, the towering brick ruins, arched gateways, and stone carvings still showcase royal Bihari heritage.
